OOMFT = One Of My Favourite Things.  When attempting to declutter recently I realised I now have quite a few objects that I doubt I'll ever part with.  They've survived a number of house-hold moves over a number of decades and have thusly acquired a patina of history, my history.  They remain attractive and meaningful not only for the memories embedded in them, but because, in the case of some of them, I'm quite sure I would single them out today on a store shelf so I guess my taste has been relatively constant.  At any rate, I decided to catalogue some of them in paintings.

I found this jug in a small grocery store cum postal station cum antique shop in Fox River, Nova Scotia about 15 years ago.  On the bottom it says “Lord Nelson Ware, England.”  I was immediately drawn to its eternally modern, simple decoration and love its hand-painted, thin wavy stripes.

Painting is unframed.
