After spending a few weeks in Madrid painting the canopies of the Retiro Park's pines, I was interested to see how our Toronto High Park pines felt to paint compared the umbrella pines in the Mediterranean light. Definitely these Canadian red pines have a different shape, and I do love the curvey, dancerly branches, almost as if bump-dancing each other. (This is an original painting, not a reproduction.)
Painting is unframed.
