THE PLATE SERIES The Plate series started using vintage plates from my mother and grandmother and has evolved to include other plates, still mostly vintage, that carry a residue of memory, nostalgia, dignity. The series was started during the COVID lockdown when many of us suddenly had lots of time to contemplate and look at and prepare our food. These oranges are on one of my own vintage Russel Wright-designed sideplates.
